What is Sound Healing?
It may seem like sound baths are yet another New Age trend, but sound therapy is as old as time, dating back over 40,000 years. Ancient Greeks used flutes and lyres to treat digestion and mental health, Tibetans used singing bowls for over 2,000 years for meditation purposes.

Sound has been used to create certain moods in the listener. Different sounds affect people in different ways. Fingernails scraping a blackboard elicit a very different reaction than a violin (unless it’s being played by a 6-year-old). With the right sounds, you can align yourself with the vibrations and entrain your brain with the frequencies of the instruments.

The intention of sound healing is to reduce stress and pain, bring deep relaxation, develop self-awareness, promote creativity and accessing the peace that is already within us.
